Clean Marine Program

Old Mill Marina is proud of our participation in the Ontario Marine Operator’s Association Clean Marine Eco-Rating Environmental Program.

The goal of the Clean Marina Program is to reduce and prevent water, air and land pollution from recreational boating activities in Ontario and across Canada. The program has adopted a three-pronged approach to achieve this goal, namely;

• Promote the manufacture, distribution and use of Clean Marine products;

• Promote Clean Marine ideas by increasing public awareness;

• Promote the concept that marinas voluntarily adopt the Clean Marine practices.

This initiative entails a multi-year commitment on Old Mill Marina’s part. We underwent an audit of our current practices and continue to work with the Clean Marine program to adopt “best practices” of the industry. You will likely notice few obvious differences in the level of service delivered, but we will keep you informed as we make changes.

October, 2010 - Old Mill Marina has created a Clean Marine Policy, posted on this website for our customers and suppliers to review. This document will be a work in progress as we initiate a number of the environmental best practices for the marine industry.
